Catherine Muguro

Catherine Muguro is our part-time Social Worker, and our only paid member of staff. She is instrumental in helping and mentoring our students.  Catherine, along with our Board of Trustees, is essential to the success of FDC.

Mary McNaughtan

It is with much sadness that we tell you of the sudden death on 17 June of Mary McNaughtan, one of the longest serving FDC Committee members. Mary was a member of the original Friends of Dagoretti Children Committee, which was then allied to the Dagoretti Children’s Home. Apart from a stint abroad she lived in Kenya her whole life, and for many years worked as a lab technician. She was commonly known as Mary Dairy as, following the deaths of her parents, she continued to run the family dairy farm. Mary lived her strong Anglican faith and was known, loved and respected for her kindness and concern for others. She always gave unstintingly of her time, was willing and able to do any task, and took a keen interest in individual students – all despite her rapidly failing eyesight. She is missed by us all, Committee and beneficiaries alike.
